The annual Apple Butter Makin' Days fall festival is a staple event in the mid-west. This is a great way to showcase handmade crafts to a large, diverse audience. Mt. Vernon is situated on I-44 between Joplin and Springfield, but crowds arrive from all across the country to sample delicious apple butter prepared on the historic square and shop more than 450 craft spaces for their annual favorites and new ideas alike. With live entertainment, a KidZone, contests and a parade, this festival has been voted Best Of Rural Missouri and Best Festival in Best of SWMO! |
